In a recent interview, Atishi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kalkaji, said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scared of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

She said that BJP has been trying to defame Kejriwal since he came into politics, but he has emerged as a strong leader. She added that the BJP and PM Modi are scared of Kejriwal’s popularity and his ability to bring about change in Delhi.

Atishi cited the example of the recent Delhi elections where Kejriwal-led AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, leaving BJP with a meagre 8 seats. She stated that BJP had tried to polarize the elections by bringing up issues like CAA and NRC, but people of Delhi rejected them and voted for Kejriwal.

Atishi further mentioned that Kejriwal’s initiatives like free electricity, water, and healthcare have made him popular among the masses. She said that Kejriwal is working towards making Delhi a model city and BJP is unable to match up to his work.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that BJP leaders have been accused of being scared of Kejriwal. In the past, several AAP leaders have accused the BJP of trying to defame Kejriwal because they are afraid of him.

Kejriwal, who started his political career as an anti-corruption activist, has come a long way in the last few years. He formed the AAP in 2012 with the aim of providing clean governance in Delhi. In 2013, Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi for the first time but resigned within 49 days due to lack of support from other parties.

In 2015, Kejriwal led AAP to a historic victory in Delhi, winning 67 out of 70 seats. However, his second term as Chief Minister was marred by conflicts with the Centre, particularly over the control of the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police comes under the jurisdiction of the Central Government, which has often led to clashes between Kejriwal and the Centre.

Despite the challenges, Kejriwal has continued to work towards improving governance in Delhi. His initiatives like Mohalla Clinics, doorstep delivery of services, and free electricity and water have earned him praise from people across the country.

In conclusion, Atishi’s statement that BJP and PM Modi are scared of Kejriwal is not surprising considering the history of conflicts between the two parties. However, what is important is that Kejriwal continues to focus on his work and deliver results for the people of Delhi. #Kejriwal #AAP #BJP #DelhiElections
