Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), has claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is pressuring its leaders to leak personal photos and engage in fake sting operations. She made these allegations in a press conference held on 23rd June.

Maliwal stated that she had received information from anonymous sources that AAP leaders were being asked to collect compromising pictures of opposition leaders and officials, and then use them to blackmail or defame them. She also claimed that the party was planning to carry out fake sting operations against its opponents in order to gain political advantage.

Maliwal’s accusations have caused a stir in the political circles of Delhi, with both the AAP and the opposition parties reacting strongly to her claims. The AAP has denied the allegations, calling them baseless and politically motivated. They have accused Maliwal of being biased against them and of working in collusion with other parties.

The opposition parties, on the other hand, have seized on the opportunity to attack the AAP and demand an investigation into the matter. They have accused the ruling party of resorting to unethical and illegal means to win elections and maintain their grip on power.

This is not the first time that the AAP has been embroiled in controversy over its tactics. The party has been accused of using social media to spread false information and propaganda against its opponents, and of engaging in other forms of dirty politics.

In the past, the party has also faced allegations of corruption and mismanagement, which have tarnished its image and eroded its support base. However, it has managed to retain a strong hold on the national capital, winning two consecutive state elections and maintaining a majority in the Delhi Assembly.

The latest accusations by Maliwal are likely to add to the political turmoil in Delhi and further damage the reputation of the AAP. It remains to be seen whether her claims will lead to any action by the authorities or if they will be dismissed as yet another episode in the ongoing political drama in the city.
