Pema Khandu is set to take the oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive term today. Born on August 21, 1979, Pema Khandu is the son of late Dorjee Khandu, a former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Pema Khandu’s political journey began after the untimely demise of his father in a helicopter crash in 2011. Initially, he took on the mantle of leadership to continue his father’s legacy, but over time, he carved his own niche and emerged as a dynamic leader.
Khandu first assumed office as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on July 17, 2016.
